Barloworld Supply Chain Software is a leader in providing Supply Chain Software and services across industries, globally. We were retained to recruit for a newly created position: Marketing Director for EMEA and US to be based in their UK offices.
CALIBRE: This position was a new position created during a time of growth and change. The mix of strategic and operational responsibilities as well as team management meant it required someone seasoned in running marketing activities, people management but ready for a larger director role.
CHANGE MANAGEMENT: The successful candidate would be working across a number of markets with multiple key stakeholders, who needed to be brought on board with new processes as well as being part of the management team.
The package offered was a mix of existing Matchking marketing candidates searches, leveraging both databases and social networking bolstered by targeted networking within our Powering H2H marketing network.
Within a couple of weeks, 22 candidates had been profiled, and an initial selection process completed.
Using the role playback brief agreed with the client, and particularly focusing on the 2 main challenges of calibre & change management we interviewed face to face physically or via Skype resulting in a shortlist of 6 candidates.
Interviewing was done over 3 stages: Telephone interview; physical panel interview and a final presentation to a panel interview.
At all stages, the candidates were managed and feedback appropriately is given, the client was kept in the loop at all times. Of the recommended candidates all six had first interviews, 3 had second interviews and 2 reach the final stage interviews; Michelle Newton was offered the role.
Matchking remained very hands-on throughout the offer process and Michelle started her new role in April 2015.
